Job Title: Business Manager - Defence Nuclear

Location: Hybrid working pattern. Role can be undertaken across all UK office locations

Salary: £75,000 - £90,000 dependant on experience

Frazer-Nash Consultancy is one of the established Defence, Engineering, and Technology Consultancies in the UK, and we are pleased to be recruiting a Business Manager covering our business activities in the Defence Nuclear sector.

As part of our growth, we are seeking a Business Manager to join us to manage our account with a major manufacturer in the Nuclear Defence sector. In addition to growing the Frazer-Nash scope of supply this role will work closely with our framework partners under a model of collaborative competition to jointly market our collective skills to solve our customer's most challenging problems across their business. Experience operating in QDC/QSC would be an advantage. The successful candidate will work closely with the customer's technical teams to understand their programmes and identify where the supply chain can support. They'll work on behalf of the customer to develop the associated scope into work packages that can be delivered. The Business Manager is responsible for relationship management with our clients. You will act as a sales and business development lead, managing bids and ensuring we maintain relationships that allow us to deliver effectively for our clients whilst we continue to grow our business.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the strategy of the business.
  • Work with existing technical delivery teams in the development of our services towards the needs of your clients.
  • Oversee business development planning and associated activities.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with a network of clients associated with your sector.
  • Identify, characterise and capture opportunities to deliver the business.
  • Work with resource managers to identify, secure and maintain the skills and experience required of your clients.
Requirements
  • Market knowledge of the sector, holding key relationships across the client base, supply chain and knowledge of our competitors.
  • Significant commercial experience and business acumen having secured and led large scale commercial contracts for numerous clients within the sector client base and created supply chains with a diverse set of subcontractors.
  • A highly effective communicator able to operate right across the business in support of whole company strategy.
