Job Details

Roles and Responsibilities

• Teach within the Business team on a range of programmes, including BTEC courses.
• Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality teaching as required by your Line Manager to the appropriate number of hours.
• Teach Business Studies across various age groups and abilities, from Year 7 to 'A' level, as needed.
• Be responsible for pupils' progress, assessment, welfare, and discipline under the guidance of, and with the support of, the Head of Department.
• Help pupils achieve their highest potential on an individual basis.
• Monitor and assess the progress of all pupils.
• Identify pupils with special learning needs and take appropriate actions.
• Contribute to the preparation of teaching units for departmental use.

Skills & Experience

• Right to Work & Enhanced Adult/Child DBS check dated within the last 3 months or registered on the update service.
• A UK-recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE, DTLLS, Cert Ed, or equivalent is essential.
• Experience in delivering Business Studies.
• Proven ability to practice good classroom management and employ diverse teaching methods.
