About the Role

As a Lecturer in Business, you'll be at the heart of our students' learning journey. You'll deliver engaging and effective teaching, assess student work with constructive feedback, and play a key role in developing and coordinating our diverse range of Business courses. We're looking for someone who can not only impart knowledge but also ignite a genuine interest in the business world, fostering a supportive and stimulating learning environment.

This is a full-time, all-year-round position (37 hours per week), reporting to the Assistant Head of Faculty.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone with a strong background in business and a commitment to teaching excellence.

Essential Qualifications:

• A Level 5 Teaching qualification (e.g., DTTLS, Diploma in Education and Training, Cert Ed, or PGCE) OR a commitment to achieving this within three years of employment (we'll provide the training!).
• A minimum of degree, or professional industry qualification in a relevant business subject.
• Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy.
• An Assessor Award (A1/TQA/CAVA).

Key Experience & Knowledge:

• Comprehensive and recent experience working in business.
• In-depth knowledge of business specialisms to teach across Levels 1 to 3.
• Understanding and experience of embedding English and maths into curriculum delivery.

Essential Skills:

• Ability to inspire, motivate, and raise aspirations of students.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
• Creative and innovative approach to teaching and learning strategies.
• Excellent planning, organisation, and administrative skills.
• Proficiency in using Information Learning Technology (ILT) in teaching.
• A collaborative spirit, able to work effectively within a team and independently.
