Veeqo (veeqo.com) — a startup acquired by Amazon in 2021 — is Amazon’s recommended multichannel inventory and shipping solution for SMB sellers. Within one year post-acquisition, Veeqo achieved an S-Team goal and publicly launched at Accelerate 2022.

Our vision is to become the back office hub for SMB ecommerce sellers, managing fulfillment across all online stores and shipping orders efficiently and cost-effectively.

Amazon seeks an exemplary Business Intelligence Engineer with broad technical skills to develop data visualizations and automation solutions that support business decision-making and process improvements. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for delivering insights and analytics. The role involves designing and developing automated data pipelines, analytical modeling, and intuitive data visualization. Responsibilities include maintaining front-end code using Python, SQL, or similar languages. This position offers high visibility and the opportunity to influence operational fulfillment strategies, supporting career growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing data management processes such as accessing raw data feeds, building queries and macros, writing SQL code, organizing data, and designing reports for quick performance visualization.
  • Retrieving and analyzing large datasets using Excel, SQL, and other systems.
  • Designing and implementing reporting solutions for effective stakeholder decision-making.
  • Ensuring report accuracy and timeliness, resolving data discrepancies.
  • Building and managing KPIs to measure and improve reporting processes.
  • Monitoring existing metrics, creating new ones, and collaborating on process and system improvements.
  • Supporting cross-functional teams in program execution.
  • Generating complex queries to investigate process issues.
  • Innovating to enhance customer experience.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Quicksight, or similar.
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and ETL pipeline development.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and scripting (Python) for data processing.
  • Experience in the data/BI domain.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift.
  • Experience in data mining, ETL processes, and handling large-scale, complex datasets in a business environment.
