Job description

When you attract people who have the DNA of pioneers and explorers, you build a company of like-minded individuals who want to invent. They think about how to work backwards from customers and build great services or products – Jeff Bezos.

Amazon.com's success is built on customer obsession. Do you understand what it takes to deliver millions of packages seamlessly every day? Behind these deliveries are billions of decisions made by machines and humans. Questions include: Is the address accurate? Do we know the exact location? Is there a safe drop point? Can we make unattended deliveries? Is a signature required? Is it a commercial property? Do we know the business hours? What if the customer isn't home? Are there alternate addresses? Do they have special preferences? Are we optimizing delivery routes? Does the delivery associate know the locality? Is there an access code? The core is the quality of underlying data that informs these decisions in real-time.

The person in this role will influence and align goals across Technology, Operations, and Finance teams, serving as the face of the organization to global stakeholders. This role demands a results-oriented, energetic individual with stamina and quick thinking to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Excellent communication skills and executive presence are essential for engaging with VPs and SVPs at Amazon.

As a key member of the last mile leadership team, you will continually elevate quality and performance, bringing innovation, strategic insight, and a focus on priorities and operational initiatives. Collaborating closely with product and technology teams, you will develop innovative experiences for customers, leveraging your analytical skills to work effectively within a matrix organization and breaking down complex problems to drive product development at Amazon speed. You will lead defect reduction efforts through continuous improvement, ensuring accountability across multiple business units for large-scale, high-impact projects. Leading by example, you will be passionate about operational performance and customer experience.
