Key Strategic Objectives

Amazon seeks an experienced leader to own the vision for quality improvement via global address management programs. As a Business Intelligence Engineer in the Amazon last mile quality team, you will shape strategies and customer-facing products critical to the customer experience. As part of the last mile leadership team, you will continually enhance quality and performance, bringing innovation, strategic insight, and a focus on execution amidst competing priorities and operational initiatives. Collaboration with product and technology teams to develop innovative, customer-friendly experiences is vital. You must be highly analytical, effective in a matrix organization, and skilled in breaking down complex problems to drive rapid product development at Amazon’s pace. You will lead defect reduction efforts through continuous improvement, ensuring accountability across business units for large-scale, high-impact projects. Leading by example, you will be passionate about operational performance and customer experience.

The successful candidate will:

  • Manage customer expectations and resolve conflicts to balance client and company needs.
  • Develop processes for maintaining and sharing project information with stakeholders.
  • Succeed in delivery-focused environments by establishing effective processes.
  • Possess excellent technical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a drive to get things done.
  • Use data-driven insights to prioritize, influence, innovate, and drive urgency.
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop vision and strategy for customer experience, influencing product roadmaps.
  • Support scalable growth by enabling the success of the Operations leadership team.
  • Model Amazon Leadership Principles internally and externally.
  • Implement and share best practices across operations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting data with tools like Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Quicksight.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Java, or R.
  • Experience building and maintaining data artifacts (ETL, data models, queries).
  • Knowledge of basic statistical methods (e.g., regression).
  • Experience gathering business requirements and using BI tools to extract data, create metrics, and generate reports.
  • Proven ability to generate insights and collaborate with stakeholders.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge of improving code quality and optimizing BI processes.
  • Experience in data modeling and pipeline design.
  • Experience designing automated, custom reporting systems.
