Overview

Job Description: What is the Opportunity? We are seeking a dynamic and driven individual to become a part of our Business Intelligence Team within the AI & Analytics RBC WME department. This individual will play a pivotal role developing our BI capability to the highest industry standards and lead the way within the analytics space. This team is currently at a key stage in our mission to empower RBC with the insights necessary for our organizational growth. RBC's expectation is that from mid-September 2025, all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.

Responsibilities
  • Liaise with technical and non-technical people to identify key performance indicators and deliver BI solutions.
  • Liaise with Data Engineers, Architects, and the rest of the team to deliver Power BI reports according to the data strategy.
  • Apply templates and standards process to deliver BI solutions with interactive and visually appealing visualizations.
  • Apply security and governance within Power BI deliverables.
  • Ensure data sources are not duplicated by the creation of new BI dashboards unless necessary.
  • Use SQL and/or Python to query/ingest data into the report on complex transformations.
  • Apply logic to create calculations and customise charts with the relevant programming language.
  • Deploy dashboards through different nonproduction environments using CI/CD.
  • Keep the team and stakeholders up to date on progress or blockers and present deliverables in demos.
  • Be responsible for the delivery of features allocated to them in the backlog and participate in relevant team meetings and agile methodology.
