Job Description:

We are seeking a Data Visualisation Developer to deliver an exciting data transformation initiative. The role involves shaping and executing this project, leveraging data-driven insights for strategic decisions, and managing our BI suite to provide valuable insights to the business. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a small, dynamic team where your contributions will significantly impact our success.

The Role:

Based in Trafford Park, Manchester, with a hybrid working model combining office collaboration and remote deep work.

As a Data Visualisation Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions, create dashboards, define relevant metrics, conduct exploratory analysis, and contribute to the data ecosystem. You should be proactive, independent, and capable of engaging stakeholders to refine project scope and translate business needs into data insights.

This role offers autonomy, requiring a hands-on approach and involvement in the entire data journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, enhance, and maintain interactive data visualisations and dashboards using QuickSight.
  2. Define and implement key business metrics aligned with strategic objectives.
  3. Collaborate with clients to gather requirements, refine project scopes, and communicate insights.
  4. Create and maintain scalable databases to support analytics.
  5. Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends and insights.
  6. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reports.
  7. Work with other teams to support data-driven decision-making.
  8. Stay updated with best practices and emerging technologies in data visualisation.

About You:

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Strong experience with BI tools, ideally AWS QuickSight.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and transformation.
  • Experience with AWS services such as Redshift, S3, and Athena is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work autonomously, take ownership, and proactively solve problems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Experience with data models, ETL pipelines, and databases is a plus.
