Business Intelligence Developer

WMPF is one of the UK’s largest pension funds, providing local authority pension benefits for employees across the West Midlands. We manage and administer the pension interests of over 330,000 scheme members, 800+ employers, and currently have over £21 billion in assets under management.

We are recruiting for a Business Intelligence Developer to join our growing Governance, Risk & Assurance Service area. Our brand-new offices are located at the i9 building in Wolverhampton, offering excellent transport links by car, bus, train, and tram.

What the day will look like

Responsibilities include:

  1. Drive business improvement through the central collation and monitoring of feedback received on all areas of the Fund’s business, ensuring solutions are robust and scalable.
  2. Lead the development of data sets and information to create single point of truth performance reporting, undertaking research and using best practices to support changing information needs of customers.
  3. Lead internal engagement across the Fund’s service areas regarding data management and business information.
  4. Identify, propose, and recommend changes to working practices, concepts, or procedures to improve the quality of information delivery beyond your own area.
  5. Collaboratively lead the fund’s overall business intelligence strategy, making decisions on software, data extractions, and how to utilize data to improve performance and inform decision-making.

About you

The ideal candidate will have experience in business intelligence and data analytics, with the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships. They will possess technical expertise in data extraction and reporting tools and the ability to drive data initiatives that enhance decision-making across the Fund.
