Job Description:

The Vacancy

Are you a skilled BI Developer looking for your next contract role where you can contribute to something truly impactful? We're working on a significant programme to migrate our legacy data centre—containing 93 distinct services including core product data—into the AWS cloud by the end of 2025.

We're looking for a Business Intelligence Developer with strong SSIS and SQL experience to join our growing team on a day-rate contract. You'll be supporting data integration and transformation activities critical to the success of the migration.

You’ll be joining a supportive, forward-thinking team that’s serious about what we do—but we also believe in enjoying the process. If this sounds like a good fit for you, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

You’ll be instrumental in helping us modernise and migrate our data infrastructure to the cloud. Your work will directly support the transformation of healthcare through improved data delivery and performance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes using SSIS
  • Writing and optimising complex SQL queries for data extraction and transformation
  • Supporting cloud data migrations, particularly involving AWS
  • Managing and transforming large volumes of data efficiently and accurately
  • Ensuring data integrity, quality, and consistency throughout all migration and transformation processes
  • Working closely with data architects, engineers, and stakeholders to meet project goals

Who You’ll Be

You’ll have experience working as a BI Developer in data-rich environments and will be comfortable navigating complex data landscapes as part of a collaborative team.

We’re looking for someone detail-oriented, technically strong, and curious—someone who’s always looking for smarter ways of working.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Expert-level understanding of Microsoft SQL Server
  • Proven experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Strong SQL development and performance tuning skills
  • Hands-on experience with cloud migrations, particularly to AWS
  • Ability to work with large data sets and carry out robust, reliable data transformations
