Business Intelligence Developer

Join a team dedicated to advancing pet health and well-being through science. We're seeking a skilled and passionate Business Intelligence Developer to transform complex data into strategic, actionable insights that shape the future of pet care.



About the Role

This is a 12-month, full-time contract position, requiring you to be on-site 50% of the time. You will be a key player in a collaborative environment, using your expertise to empower smarter, data-driven decisions.

What You'll Be Doing

As our BI Developer, you'll be instrumental in building a scalable and sustainable BI capability. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and develop custom BI solutions.
  • Creating robust data models and automated pipelines for large and complex datasets, primarily using Databricks in Azure.
  • Championing best practices in data governance, standardisation, and knowledge sharing to foster a strong data culture.
  • Driving continuous improvements to deliver maximum value to the business.


Who We're Looking For

We need an experienced BI Developer with a proven track record. The ideal candidate will have:

  • BI Expertise: The ability to design, build, and maintain effective BI solutions.
  • Strong Communication: A knack for translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Data Management Skills: Experience in data modelling and handling large datasets.
  • Coding Proficiency: Solid skills in Power BI, DAX, Power Query (M), Power Apps, and SQL.
  • Project Management: Experience in managing multiple projects and familiarity with DevOps tools.
