Job summary

Sword is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to translate complex business needs into actionable BI solutions. You will gather requirements, analyse data and partner with project managers to deliver IT workstreams, ensuring data quality and governance.

You will work with stakeholders and SMEs to define reporting requirements, create visualizations and insights that support strategic decisions, and drive process improvements across data sources. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Business Analyst with demonstrable experience delivering IT solutions around Business Intelligence
• Strong requirements gathering and analysis capabilities
• Ability to translate business requirements into use cases (with descriptions, acceptance criteria, functional and non-functional requirements)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present data-driven insights

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements analysis and gathering and executing/handing over them into delivery
• Support Project / Product managers with delivery on IT based workstreams on requirements, capacity estimates and cost
• Ability to analyse complex issues and transform into manageable deliverables including solution and services
• Engage with business stakeholders and SMEs to capture and agree reporting and analytics requirements and provide guidance to the team
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define business intelligence needs and objectives
• Analyzing data and generating meaningful reports to support strategic decisions
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements through data analysis
• Ensure consistent use of standard business terminology and data sources
• Experience as a Business Analyst with demonstrable experience delivering IT solutions around Business Intelligence and supporting project managers with delivery of work streams
• Strong experience with requirements gathering and analysis
• Experience in driving data quality, standardizing complex asset data
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and issues
• Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to translate business requirements in to use cases (with descriptions, acceptance criteria, functional and on functional requirements)
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present data driven insights to non technical audiences
• An ability to present visualizations/reports in a business context to business stakeholders.
