Job description

Purpose of job:

Our aim is to become a market leader in provision of Electric Vehicle charging solution provider to Local Authorities and Businesses as part of our strategy to lead the transition to zero carbon.

The goal is to undertake an ambitious electric vehicle charging installation program, deploying high volume and quality EV installations across the nation. Our aim is to make the world a better place, one charge point at the time.

The Business Intelligence Analyst role has the primary responsibility of working with the departments within the business, offering insight into their data and using that data to help the organisation make process improvements and informed decisions.

Key Accountabilities:

The role is responsible for the following:

  • Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets, both internal and external
  • Partnering with other departments to understand their data needs, and provide meaningful data to aid their business decisions
  • Working with IT development team for development and maintenance of Data Lake functionality, ensuring solutions meet required needs
  • Identify potential areas for continuous improvement to data processes, data collection and data quality
  • Supporting other areas of the business with relevant queries
  • Providing reporting to senior leadership and key stakeholders, and ensuring these reports remain fit for purpose.
  • Review, prioritise and deliver Ad Hoc data requests from other departments in the business
  • Plus, any other duties as required by the leadership team.

  • Contributing to ensuring the long-term data requirements of the business are met across all departments
  • Implementation of continuous improvement to processes
  • Assisting development of automated data solutions
  • Key stakeholders using data output in decision making
  • Relevant data accessible by members of the business as required

Key Relationships:

  • Internal – Data owners of all other departments within the business, IT development team, FD
  • External – 3rd party data providers, customers

Knowledge and Skills:

  • 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role is required
  • Ability to present findings clearly via reports and presentations to senior colleagues
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Working knowledge of AWS Athena and AWS working infrastructure
  • Experience of visualisation reporting software such as PowerBI
  • Knowledge of appropriate programming languages including SQL
