Job Title – Senior Analyst Performance UK & IE

Location – Birmingham / Croydon – Hybrid/Office

About the role

The role reports to the Head of Central Reporting and locally to the UK and IE head of transversal. As part of the Performance Management team within the Operations Performance & Productivity division, and reporting directly to the Regional Lead Performance Europe 2, the Data Analyst - Business Intelligence is responsible for providing accurate and comprehensive visibility of Operations performance to business owners, including Activity, Quality, and Productivity indicators for all LoBs in the British & Irish Bus.

The primary duty of the Business Intelligence Analyst is to transform data into insight to help improve business value. This role involves using collected data to identify revenue loss areas and opportunities for improvement, ultimately aiming to increase profits.

The analyst will enable stakeholders to make better and quicker decisions, thereby improving operations performance and employee engagement.

What you will do
  • Identify, collect, and analyze KPIs and dashboard needs of business stakeholders, including call center leaders, management, and other functions.
  • Develop a framework for collecting, storing, and transforming raw data into KPIs, displayed in comprehensive dashboards at various frequencies and levels of granularity.
  • Monitor and analyze performance trends, providing alerts and actionable insights to decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with the headquarters team to ensure successful local implementation of the Power BI-based global business intelligence tool.
  • Support in preparing performance review presentations and provide ad-hoc KPI analysis as needed.
  • Document and continually update the business intelligence operating procedures.
  • Share best practices with team members and undertake additional tasks as required.
What you will need

Qualifications and experience:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics/Applied Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in data analysis/science/engineering within a customer-focused, performance-driven organization.
  • Experience with ETL tools like Pentaho, SSIS, and reporting tools such as SSRS, Report Builder.
  • Proficiency with BI tools like Power BI, MicroStrategy, Tableau.
  • Experience with Data Management, Big Data, WFM, CRM, and Telephony systems is advantageous.

Skills:

  • Ability to multitask effectively.
  • Fast learner, works well under pressure, team-oriented, self-motivated.
