Work type: Permanent. Working full time, 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.

We have an exciting opportunity for a number of Business Insights Analyst’s to join the team at Kelda and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Our Company Secretariat Team are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators.

As one of our Business Insights Analysts you will drive business performance and enable functional efficiencies within the finance function, key requirements for the Commercial and Regulatory finance team. These roles have been established to deliver a significant step up in business intelligence that enables our finance business partners to effectively drive performance in a consistent and effective way built on a foundation of data and enterprise systems.

You will be accountable for delivery of cross business analysis and reporting, acting as a key interface with the Group Financial Control organisation for planning, reporting and external audit activities. You will also act as primary point of contact on topics such as Energy/Electricity analysis, (Silver) fleet financial partnering and will be a critical enabler to total cost of acquisition and benefits agreement to the commercial/procurement process.

Where you fit in.

As our Business Insights Analyst you will be:

• Performing standardised reporting and forecasting processes that deliver insight to the commercial and regulatory finance teams (business partners) and feed Group Financial Control team reporting.
• Perform assessments and analysis of commercial / procurement proposals in support of business partners role in sourcing decisions (baseline and benefits)
• Ad hoc data analysis to support deployed business partnering
• Perform designated roles in data supply chains to deliver standard and consistent outputs.
• Accountable for continuous and controlled improvement of processes.
• Updating and following processes included in the integrated management system pertinent to the business insights team accountabilities.


What skills & qualifications you will need:

• Ideally be a qualified Accountant or making good progress in studying toward qualification
• Prior experience of using data to drive insight to affect performance.
• Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
• High level of numeracy.
• Experience of process control and compliance.
