As BISO, you will partner closely with key technology and business stakeholders to ensure business strategies are supported and operations are secure, with security proactively embedded into services. This role offers high visibility across Cyber & Technology leadership, working with senior management to understand and improve their cyber risk posture.

To succeed as a Security Officer, you should have:

  • Understanding of Security & Control Frameworks & Methodologies
  • Knowledge of Security Tooling and capabilities such as NIST
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of an organization, including senior executives

This role is located in Knutsford, Radbroke Hall.

Purpose of the role

To serve as a primary liaison between business, technology, and security functions, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information, and supporting security risk mitigation.

Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand security requirements in processes and IT projects to enhance risk management.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify cybersecurity threats, prioritize them, and communicate findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement security policies and procedures aligned with the risk management framework.
  • Manage the implementation, testing, and monitoring of security controls across IT systems.
  • Educate employees through training sessions to increase cybersecurity awareness and promote safe online practices.
  • Manage complex cybersecurity incidents by collaborating with IT teams and response experts.
  • Identify emerging cybersecurity trends and advocate for new security solutions.
