This is an opportunity to manage and own a new pickleball facility in Toronto's West End. You must have a strong passion for pickleball and excellent organizational skills.The General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and performance of the Pickleball Facility, overseeing all critical business functions except accounting and legal (both outsourced). This role is key to ensuring the facility operates smoothly, delivers a premium playing experience, and becomes one of the most desirable pickleball destinations in Toronto. The club will have dedicated cleaners and a tech support person to assist with systems and maintenance.Core Responsibilities* Sales & Marketing: Drive membership growth, court bookings, and brand visibility through digital and grassroots strategies. Manage all social media accounts and marketing communications.* Operations & Facility Management: Manage courts, lighting, access systems, cleanliness, and safety; coordinate vendors, repairs, and maintenance. Oversee opening and closing procedures and ensure someone is responsible for the club during all operating hours.* Customer Experience & Bookings: Oversee booking systems, customer communication, and service delivery.* Inventory & Retail Oversight: Manage inventory, merchandise, and supplies.* Staff & Instruction: Hire, schedule, and oversee part-time staff (if applicable).* Finance & Reporting: Manage budgets, track KPIs, and deliver monthly performance reports to shareholders.* Brand Execution: Ensure the club?s identity is reflected in all operations.* Technology & Systems: Administer booking, access, and POS systems.* Policy & Risk Oversight: Maintain member policies, waivers, and safety protocols.* Program Development & Oversight: Design and manage all club programming including open play, leagues, tournaments, socials, and clinics.Time Commitment & Work Structure* Onsite: 8 hours/day, 5 days/week.* Oncall: for emergencies* Free pickleball included (your share of court fees waived).Compensation* Base Salary: $60,000 CAD per year.* Performance Bonus: Up to $20,000 CAD annually, based on company profitability.* Plus ownership incentives.Additional Optional Responsibilities If the club grows beyond initial projections, the GM may also lead or assist with:* Sponsorship development* Corporate partnerships* Instructor recruitment and certification* Expansion planning or new location scoutingJob Type: Full-timePay: $80,000.00-$110,000.00 per yearSchedule:* 8 hour shift* Monday to Friday* On callApplication question(s):* Describe your passion for pickleball.
