Business & Financial Modelling (BFM) Consultant / Senior Consultant, Manchester
We are seeking a Consultant/Senior Consultant to join our Business and Financial Modelling (BFM) practice within our Infrastructure and Asset Advisory team in Manchester. Our group provides expert advice on transactions, investment decisions, and infrastructure projects globally, including airports, rail, and other transport assets.
The successful candidate will develop and review financial and operating models, support funding and financing projects, and work closely with multidisciplinary teams across geographies. Candidates should have strong technical skills, management experience, and market understanding to lead challenging projects for public and private clients in the UK and internationally.

Requirements
What we'd like from you:
- Support financial workstreams within projects, ensuring best practices and integration with project teams.
- Develop, specify, and assure business and financial models to support client advice.
- Create models integrating operating and financial data to forecast financial statements and KPIs.
- Understand and incorporate accounting and tax calculations into models.
- Review and assure models for transport and infrastructure clients.
- Participate in internal reviews as part of quality management.
- Assist in business development, proposal writing, and opportunity identification.
- Support and develop team members through training and knowledge sharing.
What you'll be great at:
- Developing robust, user-friendly financial models, preferably in transport sectors.
- Experience in consulting, transport practice, or related fields supporting financial evaluations.
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical details clearly.
- Building effective client relationships and contributing to business growth.
- Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of policy, regulation, and commercial aspects of transport sectors is a plus.
Additional assets:
- Experience in model assurance and other infrastructure transactions.
- Experience in regulated industries.
- Professional accounting or finance qualifications.
- Data analysis and visualization skills, including VBA for Excel.
