Business Engagement Manager

The University of Salford has an exciting opportunity for a Business Engagement Manager. As a key member of the Research and Knowledge Exchange Directorate, this role involves identifying and developing collaborative opportunities with external organisations, particularly through Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) and Innovate UK funding schemes. The successful candidate will build and manage relationships with businesses, public sector organisations, and other stakeholders to translate research into tangible innovation and societal benefits.

Role Responsibilities

We seek a dynamic individual with a proven track record in business engagement and partnership development, ideally within Higher Education and related to KTPs and Innovate UK schemes.

You will lead the development of industry partnerships, focusing on Knowledge Transfer Partnerships and Innovate UK initiatives. Working closely with academic and professional colleagues, you will identify external funding opportunities, build lasting industry relationships, and help secure income to support the University’s research growth and performance in KEF and REF.
