BUSINESS DOMAIN ARCHITECT
BDA required toinform, shape and champion the strategic objectives within a business domain; aligning to enterprise wide business and technology strategy, leading business design activities from project startup
Key Accountabilities:
• Work with Transformation Architects to shape early project designs, understand interdependencies and align investment with our strategic goals
• Lead on the scoping for project business solutions post investment, working alongside Senior Project Management / Programme Management resource who will lead on overall project delivery
• Challenge, shape and champion functional and enterprise strategies in collaboration with Transformation Architects
• Continually assess threats and opportunities to our strategic objectives to transform and optimize domain operating models and the efficiency of the technology estate
• Plan and guide all elements of technology-related business change in alignment with strategic objectives
• Engage key business stakeholders to identify business and technology-enabled innovation opportunities to grow revenue, optimise cost, maintain RMG legislative compliance and mitigate risk
• Construct deliverables that demonstrate how to move the business domain toward realising its strategic goals and targeted business outcomes, including: strategy on a page; business capability modelling; investment roadmaps
• Produce fact based and diligently considered assessments to help the business and IT leaders make informed IT investment decisions
• Ensure that the business and operating models fit together by showing the interdependences between components, and that the business model works end to end
• Research and provide information on emerging technology trends and disruptions and competitors' practices relevant to assigned customers
• Consults with technical subject matter experts to develop business solutions, advising on options, risks, costs versus benefits and impact on other business processes and system priorities
• Act as functional authority and business assurance lead for key projects
• Collaborate with agile teams to ensure prioritised continuous delivery of business value
• Contribute to the development and application of principles, standards and minimal viable architectures informed by the business strategy and corporate governance
• Develop ecosystem and business capability models, value stream and customer journey maps to guide agile teams in developing their minimum marketable and minimum viable products, value propositions and drive business outcome
• Lead Business and Senior Business Analysts and develop the team to improve capability/maturity levels
• Recruit value into the organisation
Key Skills Needed:
• Solid experience in Business/Solution/Enterprise Architecture / Business Partner role
• Fluent in industry standard Business Architecture terms
• Adept at producing industry standard architecture artefacts and effectively presenting the content
• High calibre leader
• Demonstrable experience in developing technology enabled business strategies
• Influential verbal communicator
• Highly skilled in facilitating and leading multi-disciplined, high-performing teams and mentoring on an individual level
