The ESP team within KPMG’s Public Sector practice covers various aspects of education, from schools to higher education, government, and skills development. Building on our strong presence in audit and tax, we aim to grow our advisory services, especially in Higher Education.
We seek a senior manager to focus on business development in Higher Education, leveraging our longstanding sector relationships and pipeline to accelerate growth.
You will be part of a leadership team, translating national market strategies into regional growth plans, considering local client issues and policy impacts.
Key responsibilities include:
The individual must proactively manage and grow target areas, demonstrating strong leadership, management, influencing skills, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities include managing a diverse portfolio, engaging in sales activities, expanding client contacts, and building relationships with influencers and procurement teams. The role involves leading relationship development, managing the sales pipeline, and ensuring effective sales strategies and processes.
Leverage the KPMG network, facilitate communication, share knowledge, and mentor colleagues. Maintain an understanding of sector trends and provide sales forecasts.
Manage tenders and pitches, ensuring strong client knowledge and effective responses to RFPs, emphasizing USPs aligned with KPMG's strategic goals.
Metrics include sales contributions, pipeline health, client relationships, feedback, and community involvement.
Essential: UK Higher Education sector experience, 6+ years in sales or client-facing roles, relationship-building skills, strategic thinking, and sector knowledge. Ability to interact at senior levels and influence effectively.
Desirable: Knowledge of sector technology landscape, professional services market understanding, and strong networking abilities.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational skills, and confidence in engaging large groups.
