Job description

The Business Development Representative is responsible for helping generate qualified sales leads for the Sales team. This role will focus on new lead generation, prospect research, and CRM documentation.

Location: UK (Plymouth is preferred).

Responsibilities:

  • Perform strategic outreach to qualified prospective clients, generating qualified meetings for the business development team.
  • Leverage web research and social channels including LinkedIn, and online user groups to identify, develop and cultivate prospects.
  • Gather key information to update the CRM system and assign a nurture path and follow-up strategy.
  • Identify opportunities and potential sales prospects that meet minimum qualification criteria.
  • Build rapport with potential prospects by offering resources (white papers, relevant blog articles, etc.) and understanding where the prospect is in the buying process.
  • Continually prospect and find ways to improve the prospecting process.

Lead Generation / Research:

  • Perform lead generation for strategic target companies.
  • Find new target companies through web research.
  • Research / consolidate subsidiaries under conglomerate companies.
  • Research / verify valid contacts / emails / phones in CRM.

Requirements:

  • Experience in using web browsers and Microsoft systems.
  • Strong time-management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience using any CRM platforms and related technologies an advantage.
  • Attention to detail and ability to document conversations.
