This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, high-energy Business Development Representative to join Matterport in London and help build our SaaS sales pipeline with Mid-Market and Enterprise customers.

Description

Matterport is seeking an experienced Business Development Representative. The role focuses on front-line prospecting, connecting with prospective customers, and sourcing new prospects to grow our sales pipeline. The candidate will collaborate with Sales Teams to drive growth of the Matterport Platform to Mid-Market and Enterprise customers. The ideal candidate is self-disciplined, self-starting, has excellent communication skills, and can quickly assess a prospect’s needs in a high-throughput environment.

Responsibilities
  • Engage with prospective customers predominantly via phone, email or Inmail through LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Ask meaningful questions to understand a prospect’s business and position Matterport’s Account Executives as experts to deliver outcomes and solve problems.
  • Work with the sales team in a dedicated region and market vertical to generate new business opportunities leading to closing opportunities.
  • Book qualified meetings for Account Executives to attend, building and booking pipeline revenue.
  • Be strategic in outreach by target market, ICP and initiatives for new or existing business.
  • Maintain high outbound calling activity to qualify opportunities and follow up with leads.
  • Work to KPIs on lead conversion, lead touchpoints, lead responsiveness, and number of meaningful tasks per day and meetings booked and attended per month, pipeline generation and booked revenue.
  • Research assigned accounts or prospective customers to understand needs and facilitate effective follow-up.
  • Prospect and warm-call potential clients within targeted areas for ongoing outreach.
  • Proactively look for opportunities to improve sales and lead management processes.
Qualifications
  • Fluent in English; an additional language (German, French, Italian, Spanish) is a plus.
  • Strong experience in outbound business development and sales.
  • Experience with CRM tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to understand a customer’s industry and core business challenges.
  • Experience qualifying opportunities using sales methodologies such as PACCT or BANT.
  • Strong administrative experience in logging and recording sales activity.
  • Quick learner and able to be agile in a fast-paced environment.
