Job Description:

At Moody's, we unite the brightest minds to turn today’s risks into tomorrow’s opportunities. We do this by striving to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome to be who they are—with the freedom to exchange ideas, think innovatively, and listen to each other and customers in meaningful ways.

If you are excited about this opportunity but do not meet every single requirement, please apply! You may still be a great fit for this role or other open roles. We seek candidates who embody our values: invest in every relationship, lead with curiosity, champion diverse perspectives, turn inputs into actions, and uphold trust through integrity.

The Department / Team:

The Data Solutions division is the commercial data business of Moody’s Analytics, bringing together a vast catalogue of data to help business decision-makers assess risks and opportunities. We are known for Orbis, the world’s most comprehensive database of public and private companies, and for providing ratings-related data for companies and securities rated by Moody’s Investors Service. We aim to deliver convenience and insight to our customers by eliminating sourcing hassles, adding value when decisions are made. Reliable and accessible data is crucial for analytical activities, and we are a mission-critical information resource for decision-makers worldwide.

The Role / Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed goals and targets aligned with the company’s vision and objectives.
  • Reach out to prospects via telephone and email to generate new leads.
  • Qualify new business opportunities and set up web meetings for product demonstrations.
  • Manage the sales process from start to finish, including identifying prospects, initiating sales activities, and closing sales.
  • Maintain relationships and provide support post-sale.
  • Keep an accurate log of activities in the CRM system (Salesforce).
  • Build relationships across client organizations to maintain pipeline levels.
  • Assess prospect needs by understanding their specific issues and requirements.
  • Collaborate with Product and Marketing Strategists to leverage expertise in the sales cycle.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English; additional European languages such as German, Spanish, French, or Portuguese are beneficial.
  • Ability to present high-level information and detailed product demonstrations.
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, passionate, and eager to succeed.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with high attention to detail.
