ROLE OVERVIEW

We are currently looking for an Business Development Representative to join a leading healthcare company based in the Scotland area, focussing on selling exciting new technology within the Animal Health Monitoring sector.

As the Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for driving new sales and market development of our client's livestock monitoring ecosystem within the South West region of Scotland, including Dumfries and Galloway, Ayrshire, Kilmarnock and Ayr, and Motherwell.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Business Development Representative will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Responsible for the sales and market development of our client's livestock monitoring ecosystem within the Scotland territory.

2. Achieve agreed regional sales targets within budget and in accordance with the overall business unit strategy.

3. Complete and submit on-site farm surveys and CRM data.

4. Effectively communicate to various stakeholders the value of our client's livestock monitoring ecosystem and market-leading support.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Animal Health Monitoring New Business Development Representative, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Previous experience working within animal health, whether it's technology, pharmaceuticals, monitoring, feed and nutrition or alternative animal / farm services.

2. Proven industry experience in sales and/or marketing to a farmer client base, as well as key stakeholders on-farm.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with client-focused solutions based on end-user needs. The successful candidate will be an active "hunter" and have a proactive sales approach.
