Business Development & Partnerships Manager

We are seeking a Business Development & Partnerships Manager for our Sensus business, based in Metro Victoria, New South Wales, or Queensland. The role involves driving growth in the Municipal markets across Australia and New Zealand, maintaining strong relationships, developing new opportunities, and expanding our portfolio with key accounts and distribution channels.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the Sensus Metrology budget within the designated sales region and for key accounts across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Building relationships with senior leaders in the water industry.
  • Developing and executing account strategies for top priority clients to grow the Xylem Metrology business.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to align priorities and pursue opportunities at key client organizations.
  • Understanding client budgets, business drivers, digital transformation plans, and stakeholder environments.
  • Supporting and developing distributor partnerships and go-to-market strategies.
  • Utilizing CRM/Salesforce to generate reports, track leads, and ensure follow-up.
  • Proposing new product, service, or market opportunities based on research and market analysis.

About you:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in metrology or a similar field.
  • Experience in customer success, business development, or sales roles.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with customers.
  • Ability to influence C-suite stakeholders; sales/marketing exposure is desirable.
  • Willingness to undertake regional and state travel.
