JSD Engineering & Construction Ltd is seeking an energetic and strategic Business Development/Operations Manager to drive growth, streamline processes, and improve efficiency across the North West and UK projects.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will lead client relationships, oversee daily operations, coordinate across departments, ensure health and safety, and help shape the company's future through strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience in business development or client relationship management.
• Experience in construction is essential.
• Strong communication between management, staff and client.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Health and safety awareness and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Generate and develop new business opportunities through networking and relationship building.
• Be the first point of contact with the client throughout the project.
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient, scalable processes.
• Liaise with Building Control and ensure health and safety adherence.
• Coordinate staff training and development.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, we are seeking an energetic and strategic Business Development/Operations Manager to drive growth, streamline processes, and enhance our organizational efficiency. This pivotal role combines the art of building strong client relationships with the science of operational excellence. You will lead initiatives to expand our market presence, optimize internal workflows, and ensure seamless collaboration across departments. Your proactive approach and leadership will be instrumental in shaping our company’s future success, fostering a dynamic environment where innovation and teamwork thrive.

Responsibilities

• Generate and develop new business opportunities through proactive networking, market engagement and relationship building
• Build, nurture and grow strategic relationships with prospective and existing clients to secure new work, repeat business and account growth
• Be the 1 st point of contact and liaise continuously with the client throughout the duration of the project
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring processes are efficient, scalable, and aligned with organizational goals
• Liaising with Building Control throughout the project
• Ensure effective Health & Safety is always carried out
• Ensure that relevant staff training is up to date
• Carry out any other duties as required

Experience

• Experience in business development, client relationship management or account growth
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify and convert new business leads
• Experience in construction is essential
• Excellent communication skills between management, staff and client
• Good understanding on Health and Safety requirements within the industry
• Planning and scheduling experience, including managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Use of MS Office
• Organised, proactive and able to remain calm and focused under pressure
• Highly motivated with a ‘can do’ attitude
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
