Job Overview

This role at Winchester Science Centre involves shaping our commercial strategy, managing client partnerships, and increasing revenue through venue hire and corporate events. You will oversee event planning, coordinate with internal teams, and develop new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive revenue through proactive venue promotion and sales strategies.
  • Develop and pursue new corporate partnerships.
  • Manage client relationships from inquiry to post-event follow-up.
  • Oversee event planning and execution, ensuring high-quality delivery.
  • Support marketing efforts to promote the venue hire services.
  • Lead and motivate event staff, ensuring safety and service standards.
Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in business development, venue hire, sales, or events management.
  • Proven ability to generate revenue and maintain client relationships.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Organized, commercially minded, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Additional Information

Hours: 30–37.5 hours/week, flexible schedule including evenings/weekends.

Contract: Permanent.

Location: Winchester Science Centre and occasionally at Wonderseekers HQ, with some remote work possible post-probation.
