Full-Time Job Accounting, Data Analytics, Economics & Finance
Location: Main Branch (3675 S 900 E, Millcreek, UT 84106)
Status: Full-Time (40-hours a week)
Reports to: VP Business Development
Position Purpose
Responsible for identifying business growth opportunities and developing strategies to increase the Credit Union’s revenue. This position is responsible for identifying company products and services that are underperforming, developing an in-depth knowledge of company offerings, pricing, and improving existing business relationships. Supports and promotes the Credit Union’s Vision, Mission, and Core Values.
- Exhibit outstanding member service skills by applying Granite Credit Union Service Standards and Core Values.
- Analyze member feedback data to determine whether members are satisfied with company products and services.
- Act as the primary resource for Granite Credit Union managers and employees regarding business accounts, business products, and service inquiries.
- Utilize a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system or similar tracking tools to record and manage contact information, interactions, and follow-up data for members, potential members, and business clients.
- Identify and target potential business clients or members through cold calling and other outreach methods to generate new business and expand the credit union’s member base.
- Conducts market research to identify potential members and businesses that align with the credit union’s target market.
- Works with the executive team to implement marketing strategies and new opportunities.
- Cultivates strong relationships with new members, while maintaining existing member relationships.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with various levels of management, staff, and members.
- Attending industry events, conferences, and community functions to network and generate leads.
- Works closely with management and staff across departments to implement growth strategies and activities in their communities.
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with all people, including fellow employees, members, management staff, board members, and outside vendors.
- Promote a professional appearance and attitude.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience & Skills
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven experience in cold calling and business development in the financial sector.
- Knowledge of financial products and services.
- Time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education
- Minimum two years of proven work-related experience or College degree or equivalent training certification.
- Minimum one year of financial industry work experience preferred.
