Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end sales process, from initial proposal to deal closure.
- Engage regularly with clients to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the utility industry.
- Conduct market research and data analysis to identify growth opportunities and customer segments.
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to meet sales targets and increase market presence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategies with product capabilities and customer needs.
- Provide updates to senior management on sales performance, market insights, and strategies.
The Successful Candidate
The ideal Business Development Manager should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA or higher is a plus.
- At least 5 years of experience in business development or sales within the solar industry, focused on utility-scale projects.
- Proven success in securing deals and exceeding sales targets in the utility sector.
- Strong knowledge of ground-mounted solar technologies, including fixed tilt and tracking systems, with the ability to explain technical benefits.
- Established network within the solar industry, especially in utility-scale project development, is highly valued.
- Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with a record of closing complex, high-value deals.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
