We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and generating new business opportunities that align with the brands commercial strategy and growth objectives.
The role:
- This role is pivotal in building robust client relationships, driving sales, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional, customised service solutions.
- Identify, engage, and generate business opportunities that deliver on the company strategy and contribute to the commercial pipeline.
- Work closely with the Head of Sales to set annual sales and revenue goals and assist in planning, implementing, and executing sales strategies to achieve business growth and profitability.
- Proactively prospect and generate leads through various channels, including cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn, industry events, and tender portals.
- Establish and nurture collaborative partnerships with decision-makers and influencers in target sectors, tailoring sales approaches to meet the unique needs of each audience.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of new clients and prospects, ensuring an exceptional, customised service delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement in products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and company competitiveness, adopting a ‘no one is uniform’ approach.
- Prepare and submit RFIs, RFPs, tenders, and related sales documentation in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage sales budgets and profit margins for new clients, ensuring all activities align with commercial targets and contribute to revenue growth.
- Maintain accurate records in JSD’s CRM system, including up-to-date information on key contacts, target companies, and interaction history.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ B2B experience in a new business sales or business development role, with a proven track record in prospecting and achieving sales goals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence in sales pitches and client presentations.
- Excellent knowledge of Excel.
- Tender writing experience preferred.
- Languages considered a plus.
- Right to work in the UK, with no requirement for employment visa sponsorship.
