The Renewables Team at Uniper is responsible for the development of the Wind-onshore and Solar PV business of Uniper, predominantly in Europe. Our aim is to deliver more than 1 GW growth p.a. by 2025 and a minimum of 10 GW on our balance sheet by 2030.

Uniper is present across the entire renewable energy value chain, with the ultimate aim of operating major renewable energy production facilities. The renewables team can also count on the Group's extensive expertise in areas such as offtake (PPA in particular), storage, hydrogen, etc.

Your Responsibilities

Please note we are open to flexibility on location within the UK for this role.

  • You will actively support the Company's objectives by delivering profitable partnerships/acquisition of portfolio delivering Utility-Scale Solar MW.
  • You will originate business relationships and close partnerships with external partners (developers, financial advisors, etc.)
  • You will lead investment cases/negotiations with Partners in view of Acquiring projects' portfolio from Origination to Read-to-build status: Monitor and interpret technical and relevant regulatory developments and standards and be able to deliver technical and non-technical reports to stakeholders.
  • You will achieve relevant presentations and business cases to management and top management to obtain agreement on acquisition/partnerships.
  • You will represent the Company to outside partners, including during events, conferences, on panels.
  • You will participate in the development of the winning market strategy to set the base of a significant long term pipeline of solar projects
Your Profile
  • Capacity to originate opportunities: Good network in the industry (developers, suppliers, technical and legal advisors, financial advisors, etc.).
  • Ability to create and maintain a network of partners
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the Project development steps, including Permitting, for Utility-scale projects Solar, from land acquisition to Ready-to-build status
  • Experience coordinating due diligence and driving deals to completion, with strong attention to commercial detail.
  • Strong Negotiation skills and proven capacity to negotiate and close business contracts, in particular in the context of renewable energy: Development service agreements, Co-development agreements, Share purchase agreements, framework agreements.
  • Comfort reviewing and building financial models to assess acquisition opportunities, in collaboration with the central modeling team.
  • Project management skills: strong attention to detail, meeting deadlines, and managing long-term projects on a day-to-day basis, particularly in acquisition / due diligence.
  • Capacity to prioritize work and set priorities, to team and to themselves, in order to reach maximum business success.
  • Strong organisation skills
