An established industry player is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growth in hazardous waste management services. Location: Area role covering Yorkshire
Role: Business Development Manager / Technical Sales Executive – Hazardous Waste
You will be responsible for delivering profitable hazardous waste management services contracts and large one-off jobs in the surrounding area, including Tankered Services, Drummed and Palletised Waste. You will collaborate with the technical team to ensure proper handling of materials.
Your duties will include cold calling, lead generation, follow-up on enquiries, maintaining a sales pipeline, and possibly delivering presentations, consultations, and solution-based pitches.
Experience: You should have experience in achieving targets in a similar new business role within waste management or brokered waste services. A reasonable technical understanding of hazardous waste is necessary to communicate effectively with technical teams and understand pre-acceptance requirements.
You should be willing to commute regionally and spend two days a week at the depot. A UK driving license is essential. Chemistry-based qualifications are a plus, but sales skills are the primary focus.
