The role

As the Business Development Manager, you will manage and drive new business opportunities and expand existing accounts within your sales territory, leveraging your scientific background and cultivating relationships at all levels within accounts.

This is a full-time hybrid role (minimum of 2 days in the office). You will report to the VP of Global Accounts, who reports to the CEO.

Snapshot of the role:

  1. Articulate the value of SelectScience to decision makers and navigate the sales cycle.
  2. Use strategies including face-to-face and virtual meetings, telesales, and exhibitions to prospect and close new business, using scientific knowledge.
  3. Maintain a pipeline of prospects and ensure accurate forecasting.
  4. Close new deals and develop existing accounts, building high-level relationships.
  5. Coordinate with other departments for sponsor interactions and project delivery.
  6. Develop tailored proposals using scientific insight.
  7. Achieve sales targets and provide regular forecasts and updates.
  8. Keep records in Salesforce, including activities, opportunities, and contacts.
  9. Identify upselling opportunities and relay feedback for continuous improvement.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

Desirable:

  • Experience in relationship-based sales and solution selling.
