As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager who understands the industry to drive new business opportunities, expand and develop our systems range, and build our brand in the industry.

Position Overview:

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will play a key role in identifying, developing, and nurturing new business opportunities within the roofing and façade industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the construction and facade markets, a proven track record of sales success, and the ability to build relationships with key personnel.This role will be responsible for both strategic planning and hands-on execution to increase revenue, market presence, and profitability. Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Lead Generation

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the roofing and façade products sector.
  • Generate leads through networking, marketing campaigns, attending industry events, and leveraging digital marketing channels.
  • Develop and implement a strategic business development plan to expand market share.

Product development

  • Developing current systems as well as Identifying new systems to add to our portfolio.
  • Oversee the testing and certification of our systems, including CWCT & fire test.
  • Overview of the certification of systems warranties.
  • Development of product information, including marketing brochures, data sheets, standard details, order forms etc.
  • Develop a new online website where clients can purchase standard products directly.
  • Maintain our main website ensuring it is compliant and reflects our product range and services.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, including contractors, architects, engineers, and distributors.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key clients and ensure their needs are met with exceptional service.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with clients to identify new opportunities and resolve any issues.

Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Drive sales growth by identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities including developing our through wall solution.
  • Develop and present tailored solutions to clients, addressing their specific product needs.
  • Negotiate and close deals, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.

Market Research & Competitive Analysis

  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscapes.
  • Stay updated on new roofing product innovations and adjust business strategies accordingly.
  • Monitor competitor activities and identify opportunities for differentiation.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support

  • Work closely with the marketing and product development teams to ensure offerings align with market demands.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery of roofing products.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams to improve product offerings, customer service, and overall business operations.

Reporting & Performance Metrics

  • Track and report on business development activities, sales performance, and pipeline status.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to senior management, highlighting progress, challenges, and opportunities.

Qualifications (Preferred):

• 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the construction, building materials, or roofing products industries.

• Proven track record of driving sales and developing new business opportunities.

• Strong knowledge of the industry materials, installation processes, and market trends.

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.

• Self-motivated, results-orientated, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with distributors, contractors, and architects in the roofing or construction industry.

• Understanding of building codes and regulations related to roofing and façade products.

• Strong network within the roofing industry and related fields.

• Communication Skills: Strong, articulate, and confident in presenting to clients and prospects.

• Organisational Skills: Ability to organize tasks and maintain trustworthiness.

• Motivation: A self-starter attitude with a strong drive to meet growth objectives.

• Driving License: A clean driving license is often required for travel.
