Job description

Astute’s Renewables Team is partnering with a UK-wide distributor of sustainable energy products, to recruit a Business Development Manager nationwide, prospecting customers across the North of England.

Responsibilities and Duties

Reporting to the Commercial Manager you will:

  1. Create and implement strategies aimed at boosting revenue and enhancing client satisfaction.
  2. Explore and evaluate potential markets and emerging client demands.
  3. Schedule and lead meetings with potential business partners.
  4. Represent the company’s solutions in a way that aligns with customer goals and future needs.
  5. Manage the preparation and processing of sales documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and legal regulations.
  6. Deliver reliable support and guidance post-sale to foster ongoing partnerships.
  7. Cultivate strong, long-standing connections with both new and existing clients.
  8. Support the development of junior team members, helping them grow into effective sales professionals.
Professional Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  1. Previous experience in a business development, sales, or similar client-facing role.
  2. Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
  3. Background in customer service or client relations is advantageous.
  4. Comfortable using Microsoft Office and CRM tools (e.g., Zoho or similar platforms).
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  6. Good understanding of the market and industry trends.
  7. Degree in business, sales, or a related area is beneficial but not required.
