Join our dynamic Business Development Manager team in Liverpool, part of a national team of BDMs. This is an exciting period at Quilter Cheviot, with a strong Modern MPS proposition and Climate Asset Funds with over 12 years of history. You will collaborate with our Investment Managers on discretionary and AIM services for clients with complex needs.

The ideal candidate should be based in or near Liverpool, possess good knowledge of financial advice and advisers, hold at least a Level 4 industry qualification, and demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit to explore new opportunities in this growing area. This role offers an exciting challenge for an experienced BDM.

Reporting directly to the Head of Sales - North, you will work with Investment Management teams to attract new investment clients through Financial Advisers in the Liverpool region. Your responsibilities include:

  • Promoting Quilter Cheviot's discretionary investment proposition, Climate Assets Funds, MPS solution, AIM portfolio, and other relevant services to financial advisers in the Liverpool area.
  • Establishing an annual target with the Head of Business Development - Advice for new investment management business.
  • Meeting new business targets and KPIs.
  • Supporting the London region by driving new business opportunities.
  • Coordinating with the Head of North Sales and Head of Business Development - Advice on target introducers and assigning investment managers for new services.
  • Agreeing on sales methods and initiatives with sales leadership.
  • Providing regular reports to sales leadership using standard formats.
  • Developing and using a business plan to classify advisers for targeted efforts.
  • Cultivating relationships with Financial Advisers, focusing on onboarding new advisers and opening accounts.
  • Maintaining effective relationships with Advisers and Investment Managers.
  • Attending business development meetings as needed.
  • Maintaining communication with Investment Directors, Managers, and sales leadership.
  • Gaining comprehensive knowledge of our products and services and their suitability for clients.
  • Keeping accurate records of contacts and visits in the CRM system.
Consumer Duty:

While this role doesn't involve direct customer interaction, understanding our target market and evaluating service value for financial advisers is essential to ensure positive customer outcomes.

About You
  • Proven Business Development Manager with experience in the financial adviser sector.
  • Ability to manage workload independently with bi-weekly oversight.
  • Strong self-organization and personal responsibility skills.
  • Collaborative approach with marketing, investment teams, and the wider sales team.
Candidates should possess:
  • At least a Level 4 industry qualification (e.g., CISI, CFA, or equivalent).
  • Relevant experience in financial services within local markets.
  • A clean driving license.
