Business Development Manager - Rail (Light Rail)

Location: UK (Remote with travel)

We are seeking an experienced sales professional to join our growing Rail team focusing on UK Light Rail. The role involves working from home and traveling to Light Rail customers and prospects across the UK as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies for the UK Light Rail market.
  • Drive sales growth and profitability in the Rail division for Light Rail projects.
  • Engage with stakeholders in local authorities, transport operators, government, and infrastructure partners.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction and advocacy.
  • Collaborate with bid and proposal teams to create compelling proposals.
  • Manage existing Light Rail client accounts.
  • Utilize data to generate leads and promote group solutions and Telent capabilities, focusing on Light Rail.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports using Salesforce and Sales Plans.

Candidate Profile:

Previous experience as a Business Development or Sales Manager within the UK Light Rail sector is required. The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a proven track record in account management and sales within the UK Light Rail market.
  • Possess a proactive approach to new business development.
  • Understand procurement processes and market dynamics.
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders.
