Business Development Manager - Rail (Light Rail)

We are seeking an experienced sales professional to join our rapidly growing Rail team focused on UK Light Rail. The role involves working from home with travel across the UK to meet Light Rail customers and prospects as needed.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing sales strategies for the UK Light Rail market.
  • Driving sales and profit growth within the Rail sector.
  • Engaging with stakeholders in local authorities, transport operators, government, and infrastructure partners.
  • Maintaining customer satisfaction and advocacy.
  • Collaborating with bid teams to develop customer-focused proposals.
  • Providing account management for existing Light Rail clients.
  • Utilizing data to identify leads and sell group solutions and capabilities.
  • Maintaining accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports using Salesforce.

Candidate Requirements:

Previous experience as a Business Development or Sales Manager within the UK Light Rail sector is essential, including:

  • Account management and sales experience in the Light Rail market.
  • A proactive approach to new business development.
  • Understanding of procurement processes and market dynamics.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in leveraging data for solutions development.
