Business Development Manager - Rail (Light Rail)

Agile, UK travel required.

We are seeking an experienced sales professional to join our growing Rail team focused on UK Light Rail. The role involves working from home with travel to Light Rail clients and prospects across the UK as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement sales strategies for the UK Light Rail market.
  • Drive sales growth and profitability in the Rail sector.
  • Engage with stakeholders in local authorities, transport operators, government, and infrastructure partners.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction and advocacy.
  • Collaborate with bid teams to develop customer-focused proposals.
  • Manage existing Light Rail client accounts.
  • Utilize data to generate leads and promote group solutions and Telent's capabilities.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports using Salesforce.
Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates will have prior experience as a Business Development or Sales Manager within the UK Light Rail sector, with:

  • Experience in account management and sales to the Light Rail market in the UK.
  • A proactive approach to new business development.
  • Strong understanding of market and procurement processes.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders.
