Business Development Manager - Rail (Light Rail)

Agile 6 Home and UK travel.

We are looking for an experienced sales individual to join our busy, rapidly growing Rail team focused on UK Light Rail. You will work from home and be required to travel to Light Rail customers and prospects throughout the UK when needed.

What you'll do:
  • Develop and execute the sales strategy for the UK Light Rail market.
  • Drive sales and profit growth for the Rail business within UK Light Rail.
  • Identify and engage with key stakeholders in local authorities, transport operators, government, and infrastructure partners.
  • Maintain and improve customer satisfaction and advocacy.
  • Collaborate with bid and proposal teams to develop compelling, customer-focused proposals.
  • Provide account management to existing Light Rail clients.
  • Utilize data from across the Rail business to establish leads and sell group solutions and wider Telent capabilities, focusing on Light Rail.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reporting using Salesforce and Sales Plans.
Who you are:

You will have previously worked as a Business Development Manager or Sales Manager within the UK Light Rail sector and have:

  • Experience in account management and sales within the UK Light Rail market.
  • A mindset geared towards new business development.
  • Strong understanding of the target market and procurement processes.
  • Ability to leverage existing relationships and build new ones with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in using data and reports to identify potential solutions for Light Rail clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people at all levels.
  • Ability to collaborate with the wider Telent Rail team to gather relevant information and data for solutions.
