Business Development Manager - Rail (Light Rail)

Agile 6 Home and UK travel.

We are looking for an experienced sales professional to join our busy Rail team focused on UK Light Rail. You will work from home and travel to Light Rail customers and prospects across the UK as needed.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing sales strategies for the UK Light Rail market.
  • Driving sales and profit growth in the Rail business within Light Rail sector.
  • Engaging with stakeholders in local authorities, transport operators, government, and infrastructure partners.
  • Maintaining customer satisfaction and advocacy.
  • Collaborating with bid teams to develop customer-focused proposals.
  • Providing account management to existing Light Rail clients.
  • Using data to generate leads and promote group solutions and Telent capabilities.
  • Maintaining accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports using Salesforce and Sales Plans.

Candidate profile:

Previous experience as a Business Development or Sales Manager in the UK Light Rail sector is required.

Key requirements:

  • Experience managing accounts and selling to the UK Light Rail market.
  • Proven ability to generate new business.
  • Understanding of procurement processes and target markets.
  • Ability to build and leverage relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience using data and reports to identify solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels.
