Job summary

A growing player in renewable energy is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth in their Power & Renewables division. This field-based sales role involves promoting innovative renewable power solutions, conducting site visits, and forming bespoke proposals. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in business development, particularly within Engineering and related sectors, and a willingness to travel extensively. Qualifications

  • Technical knowledge and/or a strong background in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/HVAC, etc.).
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate, close, and manage large deals.

Job description

We are working with a well-established, multi-million pound turnover businessemploying 500+ people across the UK and beyond who following a multi-million-pound investment into their Power & Renewables division, they are rapidly expanding their offering and now need a Business Development Manager to lead the charge.

This is a field-based sales role focused on growing revenues for cutting-edge renewable power solutions. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Driving growth across a £1m turnover territory within the Power & Renewables division
  2. Promoting and selling innovative renewable power solutions
  3. Building and maintaining strong relationships within various sectors
  4. Conducting site visits and surveys to assess client requirements and propose tailored solutions
  5. Formulating and presenting bespoke proposals to clients, negotiating pricing and specifications to close deals
  6. Providing regular sales reports and forecasts to management, outlining opportunities and growth strategies

Essential requirements:

  • Proven track record in business development, ideally within Engineering, M&E, Construction, and/or Utilities sectors
  • Technical knowledge and/or a strong background in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/HVAC, etc.)
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate, close, and manage large deals
  • Experience in both business development and account management
  • Willingness to travel across a large territory
  • Full UK Drivers Licence
