Business Development Manager – Power Platform, Azure AI

Remote – Yorkshire

45k Base, 50k OTE + Great Benefits


Our well-established, award-winning, and highly respected IT services client has an exciting opportunity for a passionate and ambitious sales professional. By enabling digital transformation, they empower UK organisations to leverage cutting-edge cloud technology, data, AI, and cyber security solutions. As they expand their offerings in AI, they are seeking a Business Development Manager to become a product advocate and shape the future of this exciting business area.


Business Development Manager duties:
  1. Drive sales opportunities by identifying and securing new and existing business for Microsoft Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Azure AI, and related services.
  2. Manage the entire sales process, from lead qualification to closing, and support the wider sales team in promoting Power Platform and AI offerings.
  3. Collaborate with technical consultants and service delivery teams to ensure successful project outcomes that align with customer needs and company goals.
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners, especially Microsoft, to foster trust and long-term collaboration.
  5. Educate and enthuse sales staff about the Power Platform and AI portfolio, enabling them to sell with confidence and insight.
  6. Track and manage all sales opportunities, providing quarterly sales performance reports to stakeholders.
  7. Provide customers and team members with insights into the benefits of AI and Power Platform, helping them maximise their value.
  8. Stay up-to-date with trends and developments in Microsoft services, AI, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
Business Development Manager qualifications, experience and traits:
  1. Strong knowledge of Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Power BI, Azure AI, and related Microsoft tools.
  2. Proven track record of selling Microsoft services/solutions, ideally to enterprise customers through a reseller or distributor.
  3. Ability to identify potential customers, understand their needs, and tailor solutions that address their business challenges.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  5. Highly structured and focused, capable of prioritising work under pressure and meeting deadlines without supervision.
  6. Strong networking abilities to establish and maintain relationships with customers and partners.
  7. Familiarity with AI technologies and data tools, enabling you to articulate their value to customers.
  8. A proactive, business-minded approach with a drive to achieve results and contribute to company growth.
