Business Development Manager - Storage, Cold Chain & Warehousing Solutions

About the Company

Our client is an established and fast-growing organisation providing a range of solutions to the life sciences and pharmaceutical sectors.

They partner with biotechs, pharmaceutical manufacturers and advanced therapy companies to ensure critical materials are stored, handled and distributed safely and efficiently.

With recent investment into their UK facilities and expanding service capabilities, they are now seeking a Business Development Manager to accelerate growth within a new product set for the company.

The Role

This is a high-impact commercial position responsible for driving new business and expanding market presence across the Cambridge-London-Oxford corridor. This is a new service the client is offering, this is a very much a solo hunter role with a key focus on new business acquisition.

You will play a key role in positioning the company's specialist storage and logistics capabilities to a broad range of clients in the biotech, pharma and advanced therapies sectors.

You will be responsible for:

  • Identifying, engaging and securing new clients across pharma, biotech, CGT and related life sciences.
  • Promoting the company's warehousing and storage services, including cold chain and temperature-controlled solutions.
  • Building relationships with stakeholders across procurement, operations, logistics and supply chain functions.
  • Delivering measurable revenue growth through targeted business development activity.
  • Working closely with the senior BD leadership team to shape commercial strategy and go-to-market plans.
  • Representing the business at relevant networking events, trade shows and industry forums.
About You

We're looking for a commercially driven individual who thrives on building relationships and delivering results.

You'll be comfortable developing business in a technical, regulated environment and capable of engaging with senior stakeholders across life sciences.

To succeed, you will bring:

  • A proven track record in B2B business development within pharma, biotech, logistics or supply chain services.
  • Experience selling warehousing, storage or cold chain solutions is highly desirable.
  • A strong understanding of the life sciences landscape across the Cambridge-London-Oxford corridor.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to work independently in a field-based role with regular client visits.
