Business Development Manager - Perishables

Based in Kent | Full-time | Competitive salary + bonus

We're looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to lead and grow our perishable sector across a national and international platform. In this commercially driven role, you'll take over a warm client base, manage existing key accounts while developing new partnerships across the supply chain - from importers and retailers to logistics and shipping partners.

You'll work cross-functionally with commercial, operations, and service teams to deliver high-value solutions for customers. This role demands a proactive mindset, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a passion for supply chain excellence.

What you'll do:

  • Own and grow a portfolio of perishable clients
  • Deliver strategic growth through targeted business development
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure top-tier customer service and delivery
  • Identify and implement value-added supply chain solutions
  • Drive profit and loss performance and project delivery

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience in business development or account management
  • Background in logistics, supply chain, or perishables (import/export)
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage P&L and budgets
  • Confident communicator with strong analytical and project management abilities
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel (UK, EU, International)
