About the Role

TPS Business Development Manager

Who are TPS?

TPS provides independent garages and bodyshops with high-quality Genuine Parts for servicing and repairing Volkswagen Group vehicles. TPS is part of the Volkswagen Group, which includes brands like Audi, SEAT, ŠKODA, Volkswagen passenger cars, and Commercial Vehicles. TPS operates a national network of centres with a 1,500-strong workforce, fostering a motivating and inclusive workplace that values learning and development.

Launched in 2006 as a new brand concept, TPS operates on an Agency Model, with Centres stocking and selling on behalf of Volkswagen Group UK. The brand has experienced rapid growth both financially and in the number of centres nationwide.

What will you be doing?

Reporting to the TPS Area Sales Manager, the Business Development Manager (BDM) will work across multiple TPS Centres to achieve sales targets and grow a loyal customer base. Delivering an exceptional customer experience and being a brand and product expert are essential.

  • Collaborate with the ASM and Centre Managers to develop and execute sales strategies to increase revenues from mechanical customers while maintaining loyalty.
  • Achieve KPIs and revenue targets within your territory for key mechanical customers.
  • Identify, secure, and develop new customer accounts.
  • Support marketing initiatives and monitor their success.
  • Report on sales and marketing activities and performance.
  • Utilize market data to identify sales opportunities.
  • Understand the TPS brand's Unique Selling Proposition, features, benefits, especially the genuine vs non-genuine aspects, and be trained to handle sales objections.
  • Manage time effectively to maximize customer visits.
  • Leverage customer visits and call objectives with Centre colleagues.
Stakeholder Management
  • Update key stakeholders on sales performance through reports and presentations.
  • Maximize support from business investors and TPS investors.
  • Collaborate with ASM and CMs to contribute to Business Improvement Plans.
Customer Experience
  • Maintain relationships with all customers.
  • Provide knowledgeable, responsive, and courteous service reflecting TPS's reputation.
