Job Description:

The Company:

One of the world’s leading power generation specialists is looking to extend their expertise to behind-the-meter solutions, working with I&C customers to deliver energy solutions that support Net Zero Carbon goals. Main methods include gas generation, Battery Energy Storage Systems, and monetizing assets through DSR markets.

The Role:

A Strategic Account Manager with a ‘Hunter Mentality’ and a proven track record of securing new business is sought. Responsibilities include identifying and selling solutions to I&C customers requiring behind-the-meter technology, exploring new market opportunities, and securing contracts.

Accountability/Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a sales strategy targeting new business customers across the UK.
  2. Lead sales opportunities, manage bid teams, and drive the sales process from planning to closure, achieving growth, sales targets, and market penetration.
  3. Manage a sales pipeline, report progress regularly, and strategize to close deals.
  4. Negotiate and secure client contracts, maximizing opportunities while minimizing risks.
  5. Manage customer relationships to identify sales opportunities for solutions.
  6. Qualify opportunities through data collection and analysis.
  7. Support customers during solution implementation.
  8. Provide customer insights to inform business propositions.
  9. Build industry credibility through continuous learning and participation in forums and networking.

The Person and Experience:

  1. Hunter Mentality and consultative selling skills.
  2. Proven success in business development with a history of meeting revenue goals.
  3. Experience selling energy solutions across various sectors.
  4. Knowledge of selling gas generation, renewables, battery storage, and demand response into the I&C market.
