Our client is a multinational pharmaceutical company with a specific vision of care by focusing on the acquisition of technological resources able to improve the quality of existing therapeutic solutions.

They are present in over 90 countries and are committed to improving patients' quality of life through the research and development of effective drugs and technologies that improve the quality of existing therapeutic solutions.

They are currently undergoing an exciting period of growth and expansion. Building on its strong reputation in Fertility the organisation has launched its Musculoskeletal portfolio and is preparing for launches in Urogynaecology and Endocrinology, as well as Dermaesthetics.

As part of this expansion they are recruiting a Business Development Manager to develop strong account plans, managing key accounts and developing strong relationships with decision makers and stakeholders.

It will require the combination of a high level of sales drive and creativity with excellent product and technical knowledge. In this role, the individual will be able to demonstrate and develop their capabilities and will be a valued member of the team, who really makes a difference.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identify, map and prioritise key customers and groups
  • Drive a successful launch of new products within the Secondary Care and Private Sector
  • Establish rapport and gain regular access to identified target customers, effectively communicating the benefits of the UK offering
  • Making effective, impactful presentations of our products and services
  • Demonstrate excellent therapeutic and product knowledge and demonstrate an ability to assimilate and use clinical data effectively to differentiate and promote products
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Provide solutions to customer problems by creative use of their UK knowledge, contacts and resources

Candidate profile:

  • Be able to demonstrate strong Key Account Management skills, developed from a similar role in the UK Pharmaceutical industry
  • Evidence of ability to develop strong relationships with key personnel in customer unit
  • Evidence of creativity in penetrating key accounts and establishing contact with decision makers
  • At ease using scientific, practical and commercial arguments in promoting products and services
  • Extensive experience in successfully achieving formulary status for products in secondary care
  • ABPI qualified
