Applus+ 3C Test (part of Applus+ Laboratories division) is a worldwide leader in the automotive testing, inspection and certification sector. We are currently looking for a Medical Commercial to join our team on a stable basis.

What you will do

Duties:

  • Responsible for all Applus+ 3C Test Commercial/Medical sales operations and to ensure a professional approach to customers in all work.
  • To discuss with customers their requirements and draw up a test plan/programme.
  • Support quotation generation with the inside sales team, based upon the customer requirements.
  • Discuss with customers the terms of payment, invoicing, credit limits etc. Liaise with accounts department to establish new accounts and maintain existing.
  • To use the latest market techniques to identify potential customers and target them accordingly. Maintain lists of potential and existing customers and periodically target these to ensure continued awareness of Applus+ 3C Test.
  • To monitor the activities of competitors to ensure that Applus+ 3C Test has visibility as a preferable alternative.
  • To maintain knowledge of Applus+ 3C Test's accreditation status and technical capabilities and use this to full advantage when planning any marketing activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Generating leads and cold calling prospective customers within the commercial and medical sectors for EMC, Environmental and Safety.
  • Develop opportunities in the target markets with support of the laboratory.
  • Conduct market research to identify new services and customer needs.
  • Nurturing and developing relationships with key customer accounts.
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Arrange and lead business meetings with prospective clients.
  • Promote the company’s testing services by addressing or predicting clients’ objectives and requirements.
  • Providing specialist advice of the testing services being sold.

Requirements:

  • Recognised business studies/marketing qualification.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a sales environment.
  • In-depth Commercial/Medical Market knowledge with the EMC, Environmental and Safety sectors.
  • Knowledge of basic project management skills is required with the ability to prepare project schedules and quotations. A strong grasp of customer accounting (credit limits, payment terms, invoicing etc.) is required.
  • Good IT skills and experience using software packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook are essential.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills are required.
  • A good telephone manner is required with a clear and precise command of the English language.
